Driveline Lubricants - Matching the right oil to each application is key to ensuring the driveline components operate as they’re designed to. With both mineral and synthetic formulations, Castrol will stop at nothing to ensure you get the optimum solution for your business.

Driveline lubricants are vital to vehicle reliability. Gearbox oils must perform for extended periods and under extreme pressures. Manual gearbox synchronisers need oils that deliver a very precise balance of lubrication and friction. Automatic transmissions require fluid to work under higher temperatures to control lubricant oxidation and the temperature impact on viscosity. Rear axle oils must offer high shear stability and foaming control. Castrol’s range of fully synthetic driveline products are developed by our dedicated driveline lubricants technology centre in conjunction with the main component manufacturers. Although these products are more expensive per litre than mineral products, they are more likely to result in lower costs per mile.
